CNN reports on the ‘farm fresh’ movement gaining momentum and people looking to eat from local sources. They call these folks ‘localvores’ - I’ve also seen the term ‘locavore’ which I like better.
In the article, it mentions “our nation’s deep reliance on an industrial agricultural system, and a population accustomed to having all types of food available at all times, no matter what the season.”
It makes me wonder if I could eat an in-season-only diet. And how would I know what is in season for my area?
